Your Council, Your Community
As the first tier of local government we work closely with residents to maintain and enhance our parish, from managing green spaces and village amenities to representing your views on local planning and development. Our aim is to keep you informed, involved, and empowered to help shape the future of our community.
On this website, you’ll find details of upcoming council meetings, local news, and ways to get involved in parish initiatives. We encourage you to explore our site, stay updated with our latest announcements, and reach out with any concerns or suggestions. Together, we can keep our parish a wonderful place to live, work, and enjoy.
Manaccan parish includes the villages of Manaccan and Helford.
Manaccan is famous for it’s church with a fig tree growing out of its tower and just down the hill titanium, originally known as ‘Manaccanite’, was discovered in the Durra stream.
Helford is a very picturesque fishing village now internationally famous for its sailing facilities. The South West Coast Path – a national trail – goes through the village and continues to Helford Passage via a pedestrian ferry across the Helford river at Helford Point.
